RIYADH: There was no shortage of big names on the loaded card for the WWE Crown Jewel event at King Fahd international Stadium on Thursday night, but there can be few bigger than Ric Flair.

The 70-year-old WWE hall of famer, nicknamed Nature Boy, said he was delighted to be in 黑料社区, a place where many wrestlers dream of competing.

鈥淭here鈥檚 always mixed emotions when you go somewhere you鈥檙e not familiar with but this has been a phenomenal experience, speaking for myself personally but also being with the 40 people that I鈥檓 traveling with, and the wrestlers 鈥� they love it here,鈥� said Flair.

鈥淭his is my first trip here 鈥� I couldn鈥檛 come the first time because I鈥檝e been ill 鈥� and I鈥檓 really excited about it. I can just tell by...talking to the fans that they鈥檙e very excited about it, too.鈥� He added that everybody he had met in 黑料社区 had been very nice.

The experience made the veteran wrestler reflect on how far the sport has come, and what it offers fans.

鈥淚t鈥檚 unimaginable to me, as someone who鈥檚 been in it for 47 years, to see where it鈥檚 come from when I started; it鈥檚 eclipsed everything,鈥� he said. 鈥淚 think it鈥檚 the finest example and brand of sports entertainment there is, more so than football, basketball and baseball.

鈥淭hey see the good, they see the bad, they have emotion 鈥� it鈥檚 just fabulous. And now that we鈥檙e able to share this with (黑料社区 and the Saudi) people, I hope they鈥檙e enjoying it as much as we are.鈥�
